Business Profile

Detailing Business Detailing Driven is a Car Detailing company with a studio based in Selsey West Sussex a few miles from the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit

I often get asked the difference between a car wash a valet and a detail

A wash is just a cloth and water
A car valet is like putting makeup on which can look great for a while
A car detail is like cosmetic surgery which goes beneath the surface, it is about getting the best look possible for your paintwork and surfaces.

You can book a FREE 30-Minute Car Review. The review will allow you to discuss what you want to achieve and ask any questions about the process.
I can provide suggestions and then a no-obligation written estimate.
Why no obligation, simply because I love cars.

New car protection is sometimes overlooked by people buying a new car
"After all it's brand new off the production line! It shouldn't need polishing!?"

And yes, !! you would expect a new car to be delivered and presented with the utmost care and attention.

Unfortunately, this is rarely the case! I have seen lots of examples, the usual ones being sanding marks and machine buffer trails

Storage conditions, damage in transportation and at the factory, along with poor unskilled new car preparation at some dealerships can lead to problems usually fine scratches, and surface marring, along with factory induced sanding marks, machine holograms.

You also might be offered the in-house 'paint protection packages' with "no more polishing" and other such claims.

These really offer poor value for money. The products such as Supaguard, LifeShine, DiamondBrite to name a few, are all great in themselves, however, they are invariably applied incorrectly and over badly prepared paint finishes

In-house preparation teams are normally on tight timescales as time is profit, they have usually had minimal training on how to correctly prepare the surface before the aforementioned coatings are applied to your new pride and joy.
